BRIEF BIOGRAPHY
William Edward Ingram Jr. was born on September 8, 1972, in Vero Beach, FL. Spending his childhood days in Statesville, NC, Billy was forever impacted by the life and ministry of his preacher grandfather. After graduating high school in 1990, he surrendered to the call to preach and enrolled at Ambassador Baptist College in Shelby, NC. Immediately after graduating in 1997, he married Christy, the love of his life, and they spent the next 3 years together in youth ministry. It was during that time the Lord dealt with Brother Ingram about the call to full-time evangelism. Through much prayer and deliberation, the Lord led the Ingrams to Falls Baptist Church and Baptist College of Ministry in Wisconsin to prepare for the ministry of evangelism under the leadership of Pastor Wayne Van Gelderen Jr.
While in Wisconsin, Brother Ingram was placed in charge of the bus ministry as well as given the opportunity to preach to the college student body each week. In 2003, Brother Ingram went on staff with Minutemen Ministries, a youth evangelistic ministry started in 1983 by Evangelist Jim Van Gelderen. Shortly thereafter, he graduated with a Masters of Biblical Studies Degree from Baptist College of Ministry and launched into full-time evangelism.
From the day the Ingrams entered into evangelism their policy has been to never call or solicit a meeting, believing that God makes room for a man’s gift. Regarding the ministry of the evangelist, Brother Ingram strongly believes that he is an evangelist because of God’s call, and will often times say, “I am not an evangelist because I travel from church to church, but rather, I travel from church to church because I am an evangelist.” Also noting that, “‘William Ingram’ is the name that my parents gave me while ‘Evangelist’ is the one that God gave me!”
Brother Ingram does not preach for love offerings or return meetings but for Revival…not about revival, but for Revival.
The Ingrams are based out of Bible Baptist Church in Stillwater, OK, and travel nearly 40 weeks a year with their two pit bulls. After 16 years of marriage, on November 11, 2013, they welcomed a new addition, Priscilla Lee, to their family.
